The Inventory of Historic and Archaeological Assets of the Commonwealth,
maintained by the Massachusetts Historical Commission, currently includes
information on 2454 bridges statewide. You can look up some basic
information on these bridges on-line via our web site:
http://www.sec.state.ma.us/mhc/mhcidx.htm
Follow the links from "Search MACRIS Database" at the bottom of the page.
Using the search tools you can select for Town = Dudley, and on the next
page Resource Type = Structure, and Common or Historic Name = Bridge, for a
list of Bridges in Dudley. I did not find this bridge in Dudley, but it does
appear that it might be "The Great Bridge" (1868) on Main Street over the
French River, listed in Webster as inventory number WEB.931.
Any additional information would be on file with the MHC.

Subject: [MassHistPres] List of historic bridges?
Dudley has an old stone bridge dating from 1868 that is part of the State
highway and connects Dudley with Webster. Is there a listing of historic
bridges for the State?
