The Annual Statewide Historic Preservation Conference, sponsored by the Massachusetts Historical Commission is for:  

Preservation planners and consultants, members of local district commissions and historic district commissions, town planners, nonprofit organizations, curators, managers and owners of historic buildings and landscapes, community activists and advocates, and anyone else interested in preserving the cultural resources of their community. 
  
FEATURING: 
*	Technical tools for preservation efforts.
*	Case studies of successful neighborhood and downtown revitalization projects, church adaptive reuse, and Boston initiatives and programs.
*	Stewardship for old houses, historic properties, and landscapes.
*	Advocacy techniques and wisdom for reaching out to and engaging elected and municipal officials and local constituents.
*	Trolley tours into Dorchester showcase this historic Boston neighborhood and feature many successful commercial preservation projects. Walking tours reveal Dorchester neighborhoods' rich collection of 18th, 19th and early 20th-century houses.
*	A talk and exhibit by photographer Peter Vanderwarker that features "then and now" photos highlighting historic preservation success stories.

Conference Registration: $35 if received by September 11, 2006; $50 after September 11th and at the door on the day of the conference.

Please note: Payment must be made by check made out to SEC/MHC-Preservation Conference. No on-line or credit card payment will be accepted.
