We're trying to mitigate a situation where a homeowner purchased a house
via private sale, the house already had vinyl windows installed without
permission by a prior owner, and the new owner maxed out his credit
cards at Home Depot to replace windows which were literally falling
apart. Unfortunately the original windows had a nice diamond grid
pattern to them, the new windows are plain.
A compromise plan was to investigage the possibility of making the
replacements look substantially similar to the originals by using a
strong adhesive, maybe an epoxy.
