[MassHistPres] Associate members

We would like to add associate members (non-voting) to our Historical  
Commission. Has any other town done this?  My understanding is that  
this practice can be adopted by vote of the commission to change its  
own rules of order. Does anyone have language for doing this that  
they would be willing to share?
