Concord Barn Tour, Concord Mass.

The Thoreau Farm Trust celebrates Concord's agricultural landscape with a tour of six local barns of architectural or historic interest.  The tour will include the early 19th-century Ralph Waldo Emerson Barn, the 1903 Carty dairy barn in Minuteman National Historical Park, and the c. 1800 Hunt/Hosmer barn, currently undergoing adaptation to a residence.

Tours are self-drive and begin at the Thoreau birthplace (341 Virginia Road, Concord) where guests will receive a map and refreshments, and enjoy tours of the 18th-century farmhouse and banjo music by Rich Stillman.

Tickets are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Mail checks to TFT, P.O. Box 454, Concord, MA 01742. Please include your name, address, and phone/mail with ticket orders. Tickets may also be purchased by credit card through PayPal at the trust's website, www.thoreaufarm.org. When paying through PayPal, please indicate the payment is for the Barn Tour.
