I have always wondered who designed the Essex Town Hall; its certainly
worthy of preservation. To answer your question, The Dublin, N.H. Town
Hall, which survives, although altered, is an example. It was designed by
the Boston firm of Rotch & Tilden, who were around due to the summer
colony connections there. I imagine that is why Essex had a very
distinctive town hall as there were so many Boston people summering in
your vicinity.
As for other examples, most probably have not survived changing fashions,
which makes Essex all the more important.
