I would recommend Filemaker or another easy-to-use database program. Very
useful for mailings.
Regarding Quark vs. Pagemaker vs. InDesign (not mentioned), who is going to
be using this? All are similarly powerful. Individual users have
preferences, depending on specific work being done. I might discuss this
with the computer operator. Also, if you do work with a local printer, they
might be able to read some files but not others. That might be a factor.
Sadly, I do recommend sticking with Word over any other similar program.
It's easier to trade files with others when you're using the industry
standard.
