Subject: [MassHistPres] Contractors who dismantle/salvage old houses

Here in Shrewsbury, Mass., two early nineteenth century houses are
slated
for demolition.

We'd like to suggest to the owners that the houses be dismantled and
stored
by a contractor who buys old houses, dismantles them, and then sells
them for
eventual reconstruction.

Alternatively, we'd like to suggest that an architectural salvager be
allowed to take bits and pieces of these houses.

Does anyone know of any contractors who dismantle or salvage old
houses?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
