Gravel paths (Deane Rykerson)

Dear Deane,

We are cautious in the use of the Polymer which in our experience tends to
soften seasonally when wet or sometimes even just damp. Grading and
drainage need to be nearly perfect!

We might have more to say relative to a specific question. 413 628 4600

No sliced bread out there and one of the toughest problems we landscape
architects face. The gavel paths in Europe are often great. They spend
dollars, do build up of graded gravels several layers to get the result. It
ends up the same or greater cost than hard paving to have it done correctly
but you do get the effect you wish and it lasts.

Look into Norlite (expanded Shale) as a granular base material even for
stabilized lawn. Tends to work well under limited/occasional use conditions.

Does anyone have experience with crushed stone ADA compliant paths?
Has anyone used enviroseal- a polymer stabilizer that sounds better
than sliced bread?
