[MassHistPres] gravel paths

In response to your inquiry, the Town of Arlington has been using, not
gravel, but a substance composed of sand & some mystery component over a
plastic water barrier, for paths in two of the parks recently restored.
>From my observation, the paths seem to have survived the winter intact. In
both cases they are adjacent to ponds, so must be OK in terms of water
issues. If this is of interest, I can try to find out who would know
exactly what this stuff is.
