Thanks to those of you who sent along helpful suggestions several months ago
when I posted a question about your experience with home tours.
We've recently announced our tour, which is May 4. It's been several years
since there was a tour in Marlborough, and three of these homes have never
been open to the public before.

Spring Historic Homes Tour and Tea -- May 4 -- Marlborough
Six historic homes, dating from 1688 to 1898, will be open from noon to 5
p.m. on this self-guided tour benefiting historic preservation in
Marlborough. In addition, there will be a Spring Tea served by the
Marlborough Historical Society in the Peter Rice Homestead. View the
houses, buy tickets, and plan your trip at
http://www.HistoricMarlborough.org/Tour2008. You can also pay at the door
on the day of the tour. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the
tour. The ticket price includes the tea and admission to all of the homes.

* 115 Union Street, the William Howe Homestead (c. 1790)
* 27 Prospect Street, the Dr. James Campbell House (c. 1888)
* 407 Cook Lane, the Silas Temple House (c. 1760)
* 233 Church Street (1894)
* 377 Elm Street, the Peter Rice Homestead and museum (1688)
