         "better" for whom?

         May I put in a word here for your local book seller, for 
your specialty publisher, your antique books dealer, your local used 
book store, and the others of that lot.  They will remember your 
voice and your name, your needs and such; not just your credit card number.

         And while I am at it, may I mention that your local library 
loves to see you, or just to receive an e-mail inquiry for inter-library loan.
