[MassHistPres] Preservation Consultant

Good Morning Everyone,

The Medford Historical Commission is discussing writing grants in the coming year to pay for a consultant to help research historic properties, fill out inventory forms, and help assemble a preliminary and final report to establish new historic districts.

My question to everyone are as follows:
1. Has anybody ever worked with (or works as) a preservation consultant?
2. If someone has, we would like to know what work like this costs. We anticipate that should we decide to move forward and write the grant, a figure must be known to have in the budget.
3. Does anyone else on the list have opinions regarding this matter?

This information will be most helpful to us in determining how we handle establishing districts in the future.
