Dear MassHistPres ,
The National Park Services, National Center for Preservation Technology and
Training will be hosting a Cemetery Monument Conservation Workshop in New
London, Connecticut, on October 7-9, 2008. This intense three day hands-on
workshop will take place at the Antientest Burial Ground in partnership
with the City of New London. This workshop will cover the topics of
documentation, condition assessments, cleaning techniques, adhesive repair,
reinforced repair, resetting, and consolidation. This years workshop will
focus on the conservation of slate and brownstone. The workshop cost is
$695 per person and is limited to 32 participants. This is the sixth year
for NCPTT's Cemetery Monument Conservation Workshop series and the first
one to be held in New England. For more information and registration please
