[MassHistPres] Late 18th Century Chimney Rebuild

Two homeowners of one of our earlier houses have been told by a mason
that they need to rebuild their 1783 chimney.  He has told them that
they need to replace the bricks because they are crumbling.  Does anyone
have the names of masons familiar with this age of structure and who
wouldn't break my homeowner's bank?  Does anyone have a source for
period appropriate bricks to replace those that cannot be reused?

They are also reroofing and doing other extensive repairs to the
exterior including feather-jointed clapboard.  Cost containment is a
real issue for them.
