[MassHistPres] Use of Sales Tax Exemption for Building Restoration

The Springfield Preservation Trust (SPT) is currently underway on the restoration of an historic property in Springfield. The question has arisen, can use our sales tax exemption for purchasing construction materials for the project. SPT is not an historical society, and it is in our mission to restore historic properties. Does anyone have any experience with using sales tax exemption for this purpose?
