I believe Alderbrook Farm, run by Allen and Nancy Manley, is in the
Russell's Mills Historic District in Dartmouth MA - they run a farmstand
with local food, produce and dairy products, their own eggs, flowers, honey
and vegetables and have numerous farm animals including a pair of oxen and a
famous sheep named Ed.

Subject: [MassHistPres] active farm in an LHD

Hi Folks,

I am doing some research for an upcoming issue of Terra Firma, and I am
trying to identify examples of any farms that are currently active and are
located within a Local Historic District. I'm not looking for any specific
type of agriculture being practiced - but I am looking for one that is
currently in active agricultural use.

If anyone knows of any that are active and are within an LHD, it would be
very much appreciated!

Thanks-
