Preservation Restriction Agreements:
Protecting New England's Historical Properties
The Pioneer Valley Planning Commission and the Franklin Regional Council
of Governments cordially invite you to a workshop in which Joseph
Cornish, Senior Stewardship Manager at Historic New England, will
discuss the history of Historic New England's Stewardship Program and
how it now protects seventy-five privately-owned historic properties
across New England through the use of preservation restrictions. Mr.
Cornish will explain the process of protecting a property with
preservation restrictions from the initial contact with a property owner
to the execution of the finalized preservation restriction agreement
using examples of properties and historic features currently protected
by Historic New England. Tax benefits related to the donation of
preservation restrictions will also be discussed.
The workshop is being held on May 13th from 5:00-6:30 PM at the Pioneer
Valley Planning Commission, 26 Central Street, third floor, West
Springfield, Massachusetts. For further information, please contact
