[MassHistPres] SHPO Nantucket Sound - Cape Wind letter and report online

Thank you, Lee, for providing these links to the SHPO letter and  report.  
As a nominator of Nantucket Sound to the National Trust for their  
consideration of this body of water for America's 11 Most Endangered Historic  
Places; and nominator of Nantucket Sound to Preservation MA for their  
consideration of Nantucket Sound for Massachusetts 10 Most Endangered, I welcome  this 
National Register eligibility determination.  
 
I called the State Secretary today to voice my support as I  believe this 
action took vision and courage on the part of the Mass Historic  Commission 
and Brona Simon as SHPO.  The integrity of the Cape Wind NEPA  permit review 
process has been elevated by MHC and the SHPO.  I am most  grateful for 
their actions taken in concert with the Federally Recognized  Wampanoag of Gay 
Head (Aquinnah); and the Federally Recognized Mashpee Wampanoag  that may 
result in meaningful long-term preservation of this ancient  submerged land, 
Nantucket Sound.
