[MassHistPres] Bike Racks?

Alene:
The Bedford HDC recently reviewed the demolition and new construction of
a block of stores in the center of town (and in the center of the
historic district). Bike racks were reviewed for their placement,
shape, size and number - and were approved. They were included on the
application's new site plan, but even if they weren't, the HDC would
have encouraged their use and approval. Bike use is encouraged in
Bedford, and in the new "green world" we live in. And isn't it
interesting how many shop owners claim the local HDC won't allow
something - we get that all the time too.

I would like to get some input from the listserve before discussing the issue at our televised meeting.
