[MassHistPres] 18th C. Tavern exterior colors

Munroe Tavern, Lexington (around 1735):
The clapboards were completely replaced in the 1990's.  We lost the  
paint history.

Looking for input on tavern colors (esp. upscale taverns)

1.  are there any paint history analyses of 18th C taverns?
2.  exterior images of 18th C taverns that indicate colors?
