[MassHistPres] Minutes becoming public

Hello,

I've just learned something about minutes that I thought I'd share.

Minutes become public the moment they are written. Anyone from the
public has the right to read the minutes even before they are
officially approved.

Someone recently requested our minutes from last month's meeting. I
provided the typed up draft notes, marked unapproved. She then
demanded to see the original handwritten notes, and according to a
lawyer at the Massachusetts Public Records Office, we must comply.
