This e-newsletter from the Massachusetts Historical Commission Preservation Planning Division has been prepared for local historical commissions, historic district commissions and others interested in historic preservation activities around the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. STATE HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN 2011-2015
To those that have responded with ideas for the Major Accomplishments section of the plan, thank you for your input. We'd still like to hear from more of you about what you think are the major accomplishments in historic preservation over the past five years.
Are you interested in hosting a regional public meeting on the State Historic Preservation Plan? During the months of April, May and June, the Massachusetts Historical Commission will host three regional public meetings related to the development of the State Historic Preservation Plan for 2011-2015. If you have a location that is well-suited for these events, please contact Christopher.Skelly at state.ma.us <mailto:Christopher.Skelly at state.ma.us> .
WORKSHOP ON SIGN AND FAÇADE PROGRAMS
The Department of Housing and Community Development is offering a workshop on how downtowns can be enhanced through design guidelines relating to sign and façade programs. The workshop will be held March 24, 2010 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM at the Braintree Town Hall. Register online at www.mass.gov/dhcd.
