[MassHistPres] brick nogging

I found nogging in the ca. 1690 Noyes-Parris house in Wayland and just  
last year in a ca. 1795 Federal in Milton. In both cases, the brick  
and the mortar were quite soft, even more than typical brick of that  
time.  I subscribe to the insulation and and pest control theories. By  
the way, we kept it in place in both houses so that future homeowners  
and contractors would have the fun of finding it.
