Great Neighborhoods
Send us your letter of interest before July 15th to explore a partnership.

After a fantastic Summit on June 10th at UMass-Boston with 450 participants, the Massachusetts Smart Growth Alliance is now looking for letters of interest from local groups who could partner with us in Great Neighborhoods--a new initiative to help create more affordable, diverse, and walkable communities in Eastern Massachusetts that enjoy a high quality of life.

We would like to hear from you! The full Request for Letters of Interest can be found here<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=yG8ZO6tP7lxm41b%2BPRloXVMGzzRP9CJu>.

Questions about the Letter of Interest can be directed to Andre Leroux, andre at ma-smartgrowth.org<mailto:andre at ma-smartgrowth.org> or Ina Anderson, ina at ma-smartgrowth.org<mailto:ina at ma-smartgrowth.org>

For background on the Great Neighborhoods Initiative, click here<http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=DHPAhMs9oKunoq0hZeYdTlMGzzRP9CJu>.

The letter of interest can be a simple 1 or 2 page letter describing who you are, what smart growth goals you are trying to accomplish, and how you think the Alliance might be helpful. The guidelines <http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=h8eECsJ6k3nsAqw1oDX4G1MGzzRP9CJu> on our website <http://org2.democracyinaction.org/dia/track.jsp?v=2&c=mriNWzn2dzLqAZGInfeVWFMGzzRP9CJu> can provide you with the information you need to get started.

We are open to considering partnerships with community-based groups, faith organizations, local governments, or private-sector entities. At this stage, we are looking to design a program addressing the challenges facing real people and projects.

Thanks to those of you who were able to join us at the Great Neighborhoods Summit. We had some special guests from around the country who shared their work, and we invite you to explore some of their websites for further inspiration:
