[MassHistPres] choice of colors - in general

I have enjoyed this recent discussion of chimney colors. Thank you all.
On a related topic, we are about to re-roof a late 17th century farmhouse in
Stoughton. It currently has a couple layers of grey shingle. The façade is
painted mustard with red trim ( we understand that those colors were used on
this particular building and we have chosen not to make a change). There is
a lovely barn within 50 feet, weathered siding which was re-roofed with tan
shingle.
Is there anyone out there who would like to weigh in on the color choice for
the house roof?
