A good place to look for images of early laundry sinks is the database
for Emergence
of Advertising in America: 1850-1920
<http://scriptorium.lib.duke.edu/eaa/>a collection of over 9,000
advertising images from the Rare Book,
Manuscript, and Special Collections Library at Duke University.

Here's an example I found after a quick search on the keyword "laundry" that
clearly shows two types of sinks - one with two basins for doing laundry, &
a single basin sink for washing dishes.
