It could work silently with online maps and descriptions, or with audio info downloaded either online as podcasts or via a cell phone tour like you see in many museums these days.

We have recently completed a 50-site Provincetown Historic Walking Tour Map which has proven very successful.  We are now looking to create an "app" for iPhones and other compatible devices to provide an additional GPS-based platform for the map information.  Have any towns developed similar software or know of consultants who have experience with this?
