[MassHistPres] Historic House Available

Several months ago, the Attleboro Historical Commission posted a request to
sign a petition to save the Tappen House in Attleboro, MA.  Thanks in part
to an outpouring of support, they are pleased to report that the City of
Attleboro was able to work out a deal with the owner's of the property
(Sturdy Memorial Hospital) to save the structure from demolition.  The large
house is being moved a short distance to a large parcel of land on the same
street and is being offered through a public Request For Proposals.  More

We are hoping to generate interest in this property, as a very reasonable
minimum bid must be met in order to set this process in motion and save the
