Forwarding this, since several organizations have had questions about

Subject: Grant Program for Digitizing Historical Records

Dear Collections Management Workshop Participants:

I recently learned of a grant opportunity that may be of interest to you.
The National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) is
seeking proposals for its Digitizing Historical Records grants program.
The program supports projects that use cost-effective methods to digitize
nationally significant historical record collections and make the digital
versions freely available online. NHPRC will hold a conference call to
answer questions about the grants program on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 @
3:00 pm EST. The Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) can help
as you prepare your grant application, by generating estimates for
digitization.

For more information about the grant program, the conference call and
assistance available from NEDCC, please see
http://www.nedcc.org/eblasts/2011NHPRCd.html
