[MassHistPres] Large School Windows

Original windows are proposed for replacement in one of our elementary schools because  " the glass will fall out if  the windows are opened".  Unfortunately school departments have no clue about  the value of reglazing and repairing old windows.  

The only reason these are being replaced is because "the State will reimburse our town for the cost of the new windows".  

What is needed is for the "State", (whatever dept that is that pays for the cost of new windows )to  pay for the repair of  existing historic windows so the windows will last another 100 years and reimburse the town for this instead of throwing out perfectly good windows that just need some TCL. I am sure it will save the State a lot of money .

Is it possible for  MHC  to look into this?
