jack, thanks for thinking about rescuing sash...i'm a couple of hours away from dudley so i'm hoping someone else might be interested in them...what i would like to see is the house moved by some financially capable old house lover who ends up restoring the place to its former glory...

Yes, it is all-too-typical. I was just tromping around a recently demo'd cellar hole here in Sandwich. Gone for good. Another case of town-approved vandalism. The few standing pieces of split granite foundation not fit for a pauper's grave. I did salvage a nice double-stamped West Barnstable brick.

I'm sure our window folks here might want the sash if they are old. GOOD LUCK DUDLEY!

  A tragic and all-too-typical tale.

I have just tried to spread the word on Twitter. Let us see whether new media can help to rescue old structures.
