An 1825 house known as the "Deacon Pillsbury House at 255 Livingston Street Tewksbury, Ma may be availableto take and move. It looks like a half center entrance chimney type house. It has what may be a later ell in the rear. The Good: The period exterior and interior (mantels doors etc) look substantially intact. The Bad:The house has not been lived in for 15 years plus and there is substantial deterioration ofpaint, wall surfaces, trash etc. Hard to tell how much is cosmetic and how much goes beyond. Townengineer will be doing structural analysis in next few days. The Ugly. The house has recently been used as a "Haunted House" fundraiser. There is a lot of black paint, plywood partition maze structure, paper mache monsters - i assume easily dismantled. The house is now under demolition delay. I don't know what steps are required to complete atransfer etc fora move or whether it can be done in time. However, if there are expressions of interest, I will start therequired investigation to see if it is possible to make it happen. If you have a real interest, please contact me as soon as possible My phone is 978 640 0200 Jay GaffneyChairman Tewksbury Historical Commission
