Hi,

While the available materials relating to Massachusetts Conservation
Restrictions are very informative and helpful, I would not recommend
starting with conservation restriction as a template for a preservation
restriction. Contact us early in the process, and once we've
established that the property qualifies for a preservation restriction,
we can provide you with some current format samples if your municipality
or organization has not already established a preferred "template".

Hello,

My 1992 edition of the Mass. Conservation Restriction Handbook from the
Secretary of Environmental Affairs includes a "sampler" text, MGL Chapt.
184, Sections 31,32,and 33 as well as an application form with
substantial
guidance. Section 31 provides the basics for all types of such
restrictions.
An attorney with experience in restrictions might draft a document for
submittal to MHC for comment and/or acceptance.
