Tom:
In addition to the information below (which I'm sure you know well), I
wanted to ask you if you have a code flag "F" that you could bring along to
Commodores for the start. I hope your cache of flags is here in Marion and
that that particular flag is available. If not, please let me know soon so
I can make other arrangements.
Thanks,
Bill
Hello Starting Line Volunteers:
You have, no doubt been awaiting some specific information about the start
of the race and your role in it. So here's the schedule:
We'll be leaving the dock at 11:00 AM to arrive about an hour before the
12:30 start of the race. This will give us enough time to adjust for any
wind changes and set the final line and buoys. I will be having a meeting
in the Club house at 10:00 to hand out patrol flags and assignments to the
Patrol Volunteers. The Pin End Boat (Tortue de Mer) needs to pick up a
patrol flag and scratch sheets at that time. Lunch will be provided for
those aboard Commodores and Tortue de Mer. The last start is at 1:30.
At that point we'll pick up the portable marks and head back in. You should
be free sometime shortly after 2:00 PM.
Let me know if you have any problems with this. I look forward to seeing
you Friday morning in time to shove off at 11:00 AM.
Cheers,
Bill
