Discover the Historic Beauty of Mount Auburn Cemetery

Date: Monday, July 11th
Time: 6pm
Location: Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge

Did you know that Mount Auburn Cemetery was the first large-scale designed
landscape open to the public in the United States? The success of Mount
Auburn and other rural cemeteries led to the creation of America's public
parks and today its beauty, historical associations, and horticultural
collections are internationally renowned.

Join the Boston Preservation Alliance for a tour of this National Historic
Landmark, led by Bill Barry, Vice President of Preservation & Facilities and
Bree Harvey, Vice President of External Affairs. During the walking tour
guests will learn about Mount Auburn's history, stories behind the stones,
and current preservation projects. A light reception will follow the tour
in Bigelow Chapel.

The tour will commence at the entrance gate. Mount Auburn Cemetery is
located in Cambridge and Watertown, MA, just west of Harvard Square and is
accessible by MBTA. Directions can be found here:
