Lincoln has four separate areas in a town historic district
administered by one historic district commission: Lincoln Center (a
large residential cluster spanning three centuries of houses), Codman
(an estate house owned by HNE and related town-owned barns and
farmland), Woods End (the Gropius House and a group of associated
International style houses), and the 18th century Corey-Brown House
and associated caretaker's cottage). Most of the HDC's hearings
concern changes in the Center.
