Boston Preservation Alliance Sponsors Historic Preservation Photo Contest

 

In celebration of National Historic Preservation Month in May, the Boston
Preservation Alliance is requesting entries for their first historic
preservation photo contest.  Photographs must be from Boston's neighborhoods
and downtown area and should highlight an example of historic preservation.
Photographers are encouraged to submit images around the theme of
"Celebrating America's Treasures" in honor of National Preservation Month.

 

Deadline for submissions is May 13th.  Photographs will be judged by a panel
consisting of representatives from the Alliance, other preservationists, and
photographers.  Winners and selected photographs will be exhibited at a
location to be determined after judging and also displayed on the Alliance's
website.

Additional guidelines are as follows:



.         An entry form must be completed for each photo (limit 2 photos per
photographer).

.         Images should have been photographed within the last 2 years.

.         Images can be in color or black and white.

.         Images must be 8x10 prints, mounted or matted on white 11x14 matte
board.

.         Images will NOT be returned.  

.         Images may be used by the Alliance for display, promotion of the
photo contest, or on the Alliance website. Photographers will be credited on
any published photos.

organization that protects and improves the quality of Boston's distinct
architectural heritage. Through advocacy and education, we bring people and
organizations together to influence the future of Boston's historic
buildings, landscapes, and communities.
