I am in total agreement with geo1shaw at mindspring.com. I've worked as a planner in quite a number of municipalities & this type of information is universally considered public. As long as photographs do not include interiors, I don't see how having them available online would increase the likelihood of burglaries. One can get visual images of houses online now.

There is great benefit in having this information online, which outweighs the bogus privacy argument. Historians, preservationists, academics and misc. others, even economists, will bless you. Don't let these uber-conservatives, psuedo legal minds, and worry warts deter you!

This is only my opinion. All of the information you propose including is already a matter of public record. The City of Cambridge for one provides online access to property owners, assesssed value etc. Many if not all of the counties also have online access to deeds. All of this information can be viewed the old fashioned way..
i don't think you are incresing the likely hood of an increase in crime by publishing this

The Princeton Historical Commission has in its possession a collection of index cards with each card listing the former owners of the houses. This has been known historically as ‘The Princeton House File’. The collection of approximately 300 index cards were compiled by two former members who were assessors for the Town of Princeton in the 1950’s. Most of the cards have been kept up to date with the current owners names on them. One member of our commission has transcribed the cards into a word document while another member has inserted current (2006) photographs of the houses, as well as historic photographs to correspond with the information. We would like to put this information on the PHC webpage for the town, however there has been concern from others in town that this should not be allowed because of the potential for robberies and the invasion of privacy. I would like to know if anyone on our mailing list has any comments or suggestions.
Thank you in advance.
