Boston Underfoot Walking Tour with Boston Preservation Alliance & Boston By
Foot

When: Saturday, December 3rd

Time: 10:30am
Where: Meet in front of Faneuil Hall at the statue of Samuel Adams on
Congress Street

Join the Boston Preservation Alliance and Boston By Foot as we take a unique
look at Boston where most of the sightseeing takes place around your feet!
Learn the origin of manholes, the different ways to engineer a tunnel, the
secret identities of some of Boston's newest buildings, and what was so big
about a recent dig.

Why is the Orange line orange and why does the Green line screech at Park &
Boylston? What is the real reason Boston's streets are the way they are?
What's holding up the Custom House tower and who is buried in Dawes' grave?
Get the answers to these questions and many more. You will never look at a
fire hydrant the same way again.

This event is free for Alliance members and $10 for non-members. Space is
limited. Please register by November 30th to reserve your spot.

Non-members may register securely via PayPal on the Alliance website:
