Subscribers:
I found the item below on line because of a different problem we are having with Comcast - they own an historic building in town and are allowing it to deteriorate. My sense of the company is only when threatened with a town-wide change of cable provider will they even respond.
Occupy Comcast anyone?

How can I file a complaint against my cable company?
Complaints about rates or service should be directed to your local franchise authority. A franchising authority is the local municipal, county or other government organization that regulates certain aspects of the cable television industry at the state or local level. The name of the franchising authority may be on the front or back of your cable bill. If this information is not on your bill, contact your cable company or your local town or city hall.

I am writing to you as one of the 79 comcast email address subscribers on masshistpres, the statewide listserve for historic preservation.

Several weeks ago, Comcast unexpectedly stopped allowing masshistpres email postings through to anyone with a comcast email address. This is apparently because they are assuming masshistpres is spam generated. The masshistpres listserve has been operating for years so I am unclear why this suddenly came up as a concern from comcast. Several of you have already contacted me to complain and contacted comcast as well. Personally, as a comcast user as well, I have gone to my account and shut off my spam filter. However, masshistpres emails are still not getting through my comcast account.

This morning, I was unsuccessful in my attempt to resolve this issue with comcast. As the masshistpres listserve administrator, I will keep trying. Our listserve hosts at Umass/Boston are working on this with comcast as well. If you decide to contact comcast yourself, please feel free to direct any questions they have to me.

Chris.
