Dear Members,

At the suggestion of our Historic Issues Committee here in Concord, MA, I
have been encouraged to explore with you the effective efforts that are in
place that enable and encourage our residents to preserve historic
properties within our towns as well as issues that resist the preservation of such
properties.

My wife and I are engaged right now in this process regarding our residence
which was built in the mid 17th century and has been in our family since
1692. As a consequence of our initiative, I expect that I will soon be
giving a presentation to citizens of Concord with regard to our proposal. Any
thoughts of suggestions that you might have would be greatly appreciated.

Richard W. Wheeler
