[MassHistPres] S.2053 hearing

Dear MassHistPres Members,

Previous posts to this listserv have discussed S 2053 and its background. Based on the most recent reports in the Fall River Herald News, we anticipate there may be 100 or more proponents of S 2053 in attendance at tomorrow's (Tuesday, January 24) 10 AM hearing in room B-1 at the State House.  We're aware that many of you have written to your legislators, the legislative committee chairs, and the governor to express your concerns regarding this bill.  It is urgent that preservationists also make their opposition to this bill be known to the legislative committee members in person at this hearing.  If you are able to attend, please be sure to sign-in on arrival to have the opportunity to include your comments in the hearing record.  Thank you.
