Marcia Starkey pointed out an article that is a useful beginning for
"ordinary" (i.e. not Famous Man) house and landscape research, no matter
what part of the country. If there seems to be a need for local
historical commission/ society members to better understand how to poke
about for this info, perhaps we (= the listserv) could come up with more
detailed suggestions?
