The City of Salem, through its Purchasing Department, is seeking proposals from qualified historic preservation consultants experienced in conducting neighborhood development history research and interpretation and design services. Sealed Proposals must be received at the Purchasing Department, Salem City Hall Annex, 120 Washington Street, Salem, Massachusetts 01970, on or before 2:00 pm Thursday, August 16, 2012 at which time and place they will be opened for the following:
Historic Signage: Update of Historic Interpretive Panels in Salem Neighborhoods
The RFP award is made by the Purchasing Agent and is subject to Mayoral approval. The City of Salem reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any informalities in the Proposal process, if deemed in the City’s best interest.
The RFP Documents containing scope of services, requirements, and conditions will be/are available upon request after 10:00am Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Purchasing Department, Salem City Hall Annex, 120 Washington Street, Salem, Massachusetts 01970.
Proposers or proposal teams must include a lead personnel who meet the following minimum qualifications: a Bachelor’s degree in Historic Preservation, Architectural History, History, Art History, or a closely related field, plus at least two years full‑time experience in an area relevant to the project; or a Master’s degree in any of the above‑mentioned areas.
