There aren't very many buildings left from the trolley car era in the first place. Shows you how much people care about this stuff. That's why most trolley museums in New England are home to a great deal of rusting relics that will probably never be restored.
This kind of history as been far too removed from society so the demolition continues. No matter what "punishment" the state hands down, it will in now way deter the contractor or the school. Nor will it make up for what has been lost.
