[MassHistPres] Contribution to Street scape?

Hello:
Why does the owner want to demolish it?
The Bedford Historic District Commission had a request for demolition of an old home in the Historic District many years ago. In short, after many years of discussion, someone from Carlisle bought the house and we approved removal from it's original site to a lot in Carlisle, right over the line. This made way for an auto dealer to expand it's showroom, which is obviously not your case.
If the property is not in the Historic District, or any district, I can't see how the town or any group would have any power to keep the owner from demolishing it. But there is power in discussion and neighborhoods, that might be able to sway the owner. Good Luck.

I should clarify that this is not actually in a district but I want
the input of both District Commissions and Historical Commissions
