[MassHistPres] vendors for single glazed wood windows?

Great idea, Jane. May I also offer a few options for easily making a list available to others:

(1) With Scribd.com it's easy to share a document and make it available to everyone, both through their site and by embedding it on another site, such as your commission's site.

For example, back in February of 2009 Chris sent around a nice Word doc with pictures of historic house signs, and I added it here . . .

	http://www.scribd.com/doc/11803805/Historic-House-Signs-in-Massachusetts

. . . so that the next time someone needed it, they could find it online immediately. The document has been viewed more than 3,200 times, which is a reminder that the interest in some of the resources shared here extends beyond this mailing list.

Free and easy to use, and you can upload revisions and the original links (and embed code) still work.

Note that I suggested this as an option several months ago to a similar request and received a message criticizing the fact that ads appeared around the perimeter of that document. If this is objectionable, consider installing an ad blocker. (Easy to do, and it makes your online experience so much more pleasant.) Or, we could pass the hat and pay for a service, but I know of no service that is free and doesn't have ads.

(2) I can add it to this page of restoration resources on our site:

	http://historicmarlborough.org/Restoration.html

We pay for it, but the marginal cost of adding this information is zero, and there would be no ads.

(3) Create a document, upload it, and embed the list into your own page of resources. (We'd include it on the page above or within that section.) This is aso very easy to do and doesn't require any technical skills.

There are more sophisticated options, such as a Yelp or Angie's list approach with ratings, reviews, and threaded comments, but the options above are easy to do immediately and are, essentially, free.

Best--

Lee
