This weekend, one of our renovation projects will be part of the Greater Boston Home Tour (put on by the Builders Assoc. of Greater Boston). Most of the 12 houses on the tour are new construction, but ours is the renovation of a beautiful, large (~ 10,000 sf) estate built around 1900.

The first phase has included: a (nearly) complete restoration of the exterior, including repairs to the rooftop balustrade; a newly renovated kitchen and family room (included restoring the original cast iron cookstove and restoring the original Butler's Pantry); updating the mechanical systems, etc. This list will be pleased to learn that we have kept the original windows (although 5 or 6 had been replaced in the 1980s). This is an "in-progress" tour; we expect to be working on the home well into next year.

The tour is free and open to the public. The house is in Westwood and will be open Saturday and Sunday, noon until 5:00 pm. For more info (including the address) check our home page: landmarkservices dot com.
