I want to thank everyone who responded to my post, and reposted it on other discussion boards to see if we could track down the Rumney Library's long-lost twin. I had well over 100 responses!

Here are the libraries that received multiple votes. All have a number of similarities, and a few are quite close.

Carnegie Library in Turners Falls
Griswold Library in Colrain
Gaylord Library in South Hadley
Amesbury Public Library
Royalston Library
Ashland Library
Ramsdell Library in Housatonic (Great Barrington)
Mattapoisett Library
Merriam Library in Auburn

I also received a few suggestions of yet more similar libraries in other New England states.

One responder suggested this website, and I want to pass it on for anyone who has not run across it yet. It has a collection of several postcards of libraries.

I will pass on all of the information to the folks at the Merrill Library in Rumney and the Rumney Historical Society. Thanks again, and if you are one of the kind souls who posted my request somewhere else, please convey my gratitude to your other networks as well.
